Last Friday May 20, The Fédération des médecins résidents du Québec presented the 2016 Excelsior Awards, during the Symposium on intimidation, as part of the Resident Awareness Day. Three of the five recipients were present. From left to right : Dr Christopher Lemieux, FMRQ Secretary and President of the FMRQ Resident Wellness Committee, Dr Chloé Langlois-Pelletier (AMReS), Dr Nicolas Cadet (AMRM), Dr Julia Chabot (ARM), et Dr Annie Trépanier, President of the Federation. Doctors Mohammed Zaari-Jabiri (AMReQ) and Antoine Lapointe (AMReQ – family medicine) could not be with us unfortunately for the event. Additional details on the projects submitted for this award will be presented in the coming weeks.

The Fédération des médecins résidents du Québec is today launching the nomination process for the 2016 Excelsior Awards, to underscore medical residents’ involvement in their workplace and training environment. The jury will give preference to projects that have an impact on nominees’ own community and the medical community, and those offering the prospect of enhancing medical residents’ health and wellness.
