Call duty in an establishment (cf. Articles 1.12, 12.09 and 12.11)

Call duty in an establishment takes place between 5 pm and midnight, from Monday to Friday, between 8 am and 8 pm on Saturdays and statutory holidays, or between 8 am and 10 pm on Sundays (Article 1.12). A maximum of six call periods per 28-day period is provided for in the collective agreement, at the rate of one call period every three days. Only once per 28-day period, the resident may perform one call period every two days. Furthermore, two consecutive call periods may be performed during the weekend, one 12-hour call period on Saturday and statutory holidays, and one 14-hour call period on Sunday. A minimum rest period of eight hours must follow the call duty, which cannot be of more than 16 hours’ duration.
